Chef Jeff Ault is a native of Carroll County Maryland. Raised by his grandparents, what he would have instilled upon him were the necessity of agriculture, preservation, and the historical significance of food. At the age of 5, Jeff was learning to dry and can fruits and vegetables grown on his family farm, and by 10 he was learning to butcher at his grandfather’s market. To this day, he utilizes the same techniques in his daily operations that were passed down to him from his great grandmother and grandparents.
Chef Jeff has an impressive background that has been established on feeding several well-known figures such as Comedians Ron White & Bill Engvall, Chef Gordan Ramsay, several US Senators, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, NBA star Gheorghe Mureșan, and many more. He has gained a reputation for his diverse range of culinary knowledge including Moroccan, Appalachian, Southern, Latin, and European cuisines. Ault was invited to represent modern German Cuisine at the first annual Teluride Reserve Food and Wine Festival in Teluride, CO, alongside of several well-known chefs in the US. Ault attributes his knowledge to several years of training under Certified Master Chef Wolfgang Vomend, who honed Ault’s operational, culinary, and restraint skills. Today, Ault is driven by seasonal agriculture and his passion for historical foodways, and he continues to take great joy in sharing his knowledge with others. His personality and passion are best emphasized in intimate dining settings as well as alongside of his team.
Through his imaginative approach to cooking, Chef Jeff has become a respected leader and mentor in the culinary community. He has shared his culinary career with notable venues such as the Historic Hotel Gettysburg, Hollywood Casino, Wecker Hospitality in Baltimore / Howard County Maryland, and has expanded his knowledge at James Beard award winning Husk Restaurant in Charleston, SC.
